When did you move out / With who?

Title says all.
When did you guys moved out from home, and if you did... alone or with your Girlfriend or friends?
How much money have you had saved up for that time?
What would you recommend to watch out for?

Moved out at 20, fortunate with a nice lil apartment I was able to pay for while studying and a part time job after school. So no need to share an apartment, even though that can be good fun as well if you get some solid room mates + you can generally get better apartment placement etc. due to the rent cost pr. person is generally lower than living alone.

Biggest thing is honestly budgeting and being realistic in your budget. There's a few I've had to say no to over the years due to costs pushing my budget, but honestly, if you're just semi smart with your money you can easily save up to do things - at the cost of not doing other things of course or just living a bit frugal at times.

I probably had around $3000 saved up for furniture etc. once I moved out, not much, but more than enough to get me started with the essentials.

Well, I moved out when I was 24 years old, me and my bestfriend.
I had a good job then working to a takeaway, he wasn't working at all, but he had his parents give him money and tbh I didn't care as long as he had the money for the bills (we split them 50/50). I didn't put money aside but we did baby steps.. I bought some things he bought some things too.. We didn't had to furniture the place it was already furnished with their things. So I know that when I decide to leave I will only take my things (bed, desk, bookcase, drawer, tv, my cat and dog and that's all) and I will have to build a house from scratch but I don't mind it at all. I started gathering some money cause I am thinking to propose to my BF to live together next wear.

A bit of advice:

1. Always have some emergency money on the side for you or for bills or for food or and mostly important for your health...
   
2. If the other one is lazy and you see that he/she doesn't do anything make a calm conversation with him/her and hope for the best otherwise stay away(This will tire you otherwise).
   
3. Find a place where your rent isn't half of your monthly income..
