Depends on platform, I think you can get things that you need without API.

I tend to agree with the above responses; most of the time there's either some lesser-known way of doing it or doing it without an API at all.

I mean you could try and "reverse" the website and find out how the do their calls. Like for example the people that make checkers, try to find the login API of a certain website by debugging it.
