I've recently seen somewhere on youtube that there could be new generation consoles shortage until april, but I want to think that Sony and Microsoft are doing something to get as many units as possible available on stores for these christmas.

Out of all the stores in Belgium, only one website was supposed to sell on 19th but they sent email to everyone saying, the waiting list is way too long so they won't be selling openly on the 19th anymore. The chances of getting one ps5 is 1 per 1000 buyer

It's nothing new coming from PS5, at each release of their new console, Sony (like Microsoft) purposely list less stock available than maximum capability. Just to create the illusion of scarcity.
