Im just looking to see if any of the cracking crew has ADHD and uses it as a positive thing? I was diagnoised with it just 2 years ago & just struggle with living with it

Its like my friends think im good at IT & everything, I know the basics of Windows OS, but for some reason I can never advance to more deeper stuff in IT in any field

1.I have tried programming with Python and basically got lost on page one of beginner book (ADHD to blame)
2.I can never really seem to stay focused
3.restless, never really sleep
4.I have a really short attention
5.I know i'm not totally dumb, its a just the most fraustrating thing to live with
6. I wish I could excel, but its like im stuck in a loop forever, my brian will never advance intelligence wise

I feel like a 35 year old man trapped in a mental age of 10-12

Does anyone here relate?

Like I see all these programs you guys put together and it just looks complicated as fuck to me

I even give up on Openbullet, To much information for the brian I think, overload

Ahhhhhhhhhhh I hate this!

I get it. Building the complex projects is challenging enough to motivate you but when you realize that starting out involves super basic code, your brain gets bored

You WANT to learn and you know you should learn but you literally compulsively can't. It's not like you're lazy and don't want to improve yourself

Start meds bro, they work

I definitely agree that if you find your ADHD so debilitating, medication really might be a good answer.

This article brings up some ideas that I've seen repeated in many places.  You could try dietary changes if you don't want to go with medication: https://www.healthline.com/health/adhd/n...-allergens

I also heard that eating enough protein and taking extra Omega-3 fatty acids as a supplement could help.

I can relate, but I'm not diagnosed, i remember being 17-19 and the Psychiatrist mentioning ADHD though. Also not diagnosed, not only because i might also have least Anx + Dep but also because i simply do not have the money to go to a Psychologist, let alone therapy or medication.

Take your main objective, divide in small objetives, divide it in small tasks.
Use a Dark Souls mindset, failing is part of the scheme. So if you failed to learn or get it, try again and see the beauty of the process.

Meditation might be hard, but it will help with impulsiveness. It's not easy, but with time you'll get it.

Also, have this as your daily mantra:
"It gets easier.
Every day it gets a little easier.
But you gotta do it every day
- That's the hard part-
But it does get easier."
