Depends on how early you get in and how quickly you get back your initial investment. If the project can survive a month at least then you're most likely fine. But yes this is super high risk so invest only your gambling money.

That's literally what he's mentioning over and over again. It's high risk and short term. And yes the project is already pretty 'old' so with that the risk increases ever more so. These projects are nothing more than a ponzi where they only exist with more money coming in. Once that stops the gig is over. But early investors (and the devs behind it) are making loads of money from these projects.
