So are you still holding his money even though you haven't lost anything? If so, you are kind of becoming the scammer here. And no, staff won't let you keep his funds and ban him. They will most likely ban you if you don't refund. All you had to do is just not click on the "Remember my card' tickbox. Also, paying for someone's else stuff via your main CC is so stupid I don't even want to comment on it, at least use some VCC for your own safety lol
