We recently identified an alarming trend on our platform where some users have been selling their usernames for third-party promotion. To uphold the integrity of our community, we are implementing a new policy to strictly prohibit this practice.

Selling usernames for third-party promotion creates an identity crisis for the original user and can confuse other users who interact with them. To be clear, our primary concern is the preservation of user identity and the prevention of identity confusion. Usernames play a critical role in establishing and maintaining individual identities on our platform, and the sale of usernames for promotional purposes compromises this fundamental aspect of our community.

We take these rules very seriously, as they are essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all our users. Therefore, we give a one-month grace period for current deals to expire, after which any agreements cannot be renewed. In the event that a sale of a username was made more than one month prior to the announcement of the new policy, no refund will be issued, and the username will be required to be changed in accordance with the updated regulations.

We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these policies and helping us maintain a friendly and reliable community for all. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our faculty team.

Update 10th of November 2023: Usernames containing a business name are only allowed for the business owner who owns the sales thread on cracked.io; their partners cannot use the business name (including alternative names with business name).

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our platform!
