I mean it's no suprise really. What is though that there seem to be virtually 0 people who told them to fuck off and reported those vendors..
Surely a few screenshots of those conversations should be enough to ban or atleast fine one vendor at a time.

It’s obvious that such stuff would happen, and it’s easy to identify these kinds of activities, although I don’t think they would bother to take care of all of those vendors, especially one at a time. I think the best way is to create some sort of an algorithm that can identify potential scammers through the DM system.

Yeah my bad. Amazon just doesn't give a damn, and why should they? As long as the products those vendors sell aren't complete and utter trash, they won't do shit to protect the customer. The more reputation those vendors gain, no matter in which way, the more sales they generate and that also means more money for Amazon.

There will always be a market for fake reviews. I can't think of any solution right now to prevent this.
An algorithm could potentially recognize such vendors, although it would be very hard and very expensive for amazon or basically any company to setup and it conflicts with their interests aswell.
But at the end of the day it would only decentralise the problem even more. There are millions of messengers, social medias, chat rooms and forums out there. Cut off a hydra's head and two more will grow back.
