Step 1: Upgrade to Windows 10 May 2020 update or later Microsoft Link
Step 2: Open the Microsoft Store app and search for Kali Linux
Then click the install button. It must be on your C drive
Once installed, you can launch a Kali shell from the start menu or by typing "kali" into command prompt or powershell.
Very useful to not need to fire up Virtualbox or other VMs. Ubuntu and Debian can also be installed in a similar if so desired.
