My sister was diagnosted a diabetic last week, and no one in our family has it. (She had pregnancy diabetes 6 years ago) Was cleared of it after being not pregnant..then she started feeling like crap and found out she was a diabetic. I have been complaining since last summer about eating 40 times a day, still feeling like ass, peeing a lot (but not a lot of urine). Im going in thursday to be tested for diabetes and my thyroid to be looked at. Any other possibilities on why i feel the way i do and eat so much, but do not gain weight? Today for example i have been dizzy all day and have ate 6 times in 7hrs.

Do you exercise a lot? Your body could have a high metabolism and thus feel hungry often. Plus are you eating small amounts of food each time or are you having a feast? I wouldn't jump to any conclusions and undue stress until you do the blood test to confirm for hyperthyroidism and diabetes.

I do not exercise. I weigh about 130 pounds. I do believe i have an unbelievably fast metabolism. I am eating what I would think is plenty or enough for a sitting. (For example, I could eat two burgers, serving of potatoes and corn, and in about hr and half to 2 hours i would be starving again. Keep in mind all Im doing is sitting around watching tv or something, so not burning anything) I feel like something is off, probably not diabetes but maybe im not taking in enough calories when i think i am?

Hmm, I think you should just wait for the blood test and see the result. Don't second guess your results and stress too much.

My sister got a call from her dr the other day saying her thyroid is bad as well. My appointment today was cancelled because my dr is out sick. So I have to wait until monday now.

Well, both my parents are diabetic but they do not get hunger pangs as you do. It is best to check the results first and not rush to conclusions. Visit a general practitioner and explain your problem, the internet is not the best place for medical advice :)

Thanks for your opinion. And I asked to ask. If you had read the starter post I said I have upcoming appointments to be tested lol. It's the internet though, had to share and ask for other opinions.
