He said that its not possible and even the police cant do that. I want to prove to him that it is possible. I saw that it is possible on youtube many times but no one explains how. I thought this might be the place to ask for advice. thanks
You have suffered from the dunning kruger effect and should pay your friend his money,
While it is entirely possible to bruteforce IOS devices especially prior to the Iphone 11 and versions of IOS prior to 10.8 brute forcing an Iphones entry pin these days is done exclusively as a hardware hack.
Years ago there was an ulterior method that required the spoofing of apple servers although that in itself still required expensive hardware to set up.
So while it is possible to brute force and a simple google search may inform you of that it's important to consider that new methods of achieving these sorts of exploits are very high bug bounty rewards that start around $10,000 and go up to a million and so if you were able to win the bet from your friend you'd also be able to claim so much money from the private sector you certainly wouldn't care about a bet.
