Pretty sure the leading way to transmit the virus is if you touch your face a lot without washing your hands

Dog can get it from human being.  but not sure dogs can reproduct this viours  again.

there are a few rare cases of humans transmitting it to pets but not the other way around

Yes, it's possible. Recently, a news come out saying even cats and dogs can transfer Coronavirus to human.
