I can't activate 2fa on my account


 the QR code literally just translates to " otpauth://totp/[email protected]?secret= "

Hello there. You need TOTP Authenticator in order to use it. It basicaly use a service that create an one time password as an extra layer of protection to your account.
for example:  otpauth://totp/[email protected]?secret=HIUH3K9L9FDN5S . The service you have choose will provide a secret key and then it will use it to generate the one time paasword.

So i'm supposed to manually generate that secret key ? I thought it's done automatically and all I got to do is scan the qr code on my auth app

I have the same issue. Have tried to manually generate a secret key and I get it to generate codes in my authenticator. But if I try to submit, the site just says: Could not verify the key, please return back and scan the qr code again.

If I try to literally scan the QR-code, it just doesn't generate codes, because as OP pointed out, the secret is blank.
