There is a sticky called Bitcoin Privacy Guide but Bitcoin is not private at all and shouldn't be used at all it's a open BOOK and with simple blockchain analysis you can find out very much about the wallet and the person who is using the wallet.
But what about Mixers ?
Mixers can still be seen and Mixers see the transaction themself a lot of honeypot mixers are out there that just pop up and few months later the website is dismantled again.
A simple google search about people getting caught with using BTC as their primate payment method will show a lot of cases people getting caught using blockchain analysis.
Breaking the Chain
If you want to break the chain with Bitcoin use a service for example: Changenow.io and swap it for XMR and send the XMR to one of your non-custodial wallets then send it again to a sub-wallet for extra security.
Then if you really need to use BTC again send it to a clean fresh made BTC wallet using Changenow.io again or any other service that you prefer in this way your BTC wallet is clean and they can't trace it back to where it came from.
Tldr; Use Monero as your main coin.
