It seems like there are milk tea shops opening up all over the place these days. They all sell the same stuff but are all quite popular. Is milk tea the new Starbucks (fashionable for girls to walk around with)? Do people really think its that good? Will the craze fizzle out in a few years? Give me your theories

They've been popping up since like late 1990's around here, and continuing. I don't think it'll die out at all.
I'm all about the Jasmine Milk Tea or Brown Sugar Milk Tea though.

Boba tea shops are popular af in CA, all the asian girls are addicted. Personally I don't drink boba that much especially bc getting it so often just gets pricy.

It's weird, I'm a huge fan of tea in general. I'll brew up some for myself when I'm relaxing and whatever. Yet I've never had boba/bubble/whatever tea that all these college people I know lose it for.
