Everyone trusts everyone to a certain extent. You trust the car in the next lane not to crash into you. you trust your friends, but not enough to give them your bank info.

You can only trust yourself (and not even yourself because your brain is gonna lie to you or is gonna make you think things that you don't actually feel with your heart). And if you wanna keep a secret just don't tell anyone else at all or else it'll be given away automatically. But yeah, friend are cool. Both things are true and they are not incompatible.
