Expired links everywhere

I noticed that there are a lot of threads with expired download links.

I would suggest to implement a system that could check threads for the download links.

If the download link is expired just close the thread or make it notify the thread-creator.
This would prevent people from bumping their "expired" threads.


I dont know how good this would work though.
Sites like anonfile would then get a lot of request which could lead to some problems.

This is acutally a good suggestion, sites like anonfile however wouldn't really notice any big increasement as you don't need to establish an post, put, get or delete request in order to check the website statuscode.

There is a request method called "head" which basically don't get content and only get the http statuscode so this would take way less bandwidth than other type of http requests.


But an issue i can imagine is , that the forum itself will have way more load and @KSZ may need to buy better hardware.

Implementing this shouldn't be too hard tho, in this day and age you can get php coding help from ChatGTP.

Closing directly might be a bit harsh, you could send out automatic warnings instead and give users lets say 1 week or so to update it, then if its not updated, close them.
