Hi, my friend gave me a one year VPS plan, but I don't know how to use it. I only know how to use a "shared hosting". I managed to install apache on the server and got it working by typing the IP address of my VPS. How can I use my domain name to the VPS? 

I'm using a2hosting btw.

Yes, Digital ocean has a lot of HQ tutorials about using vps and etc. Good info

Hey thanks! I was thinking of other way. Because I find out that I need to buy a domain in a2hosting but its too expensive that's why I bought a cheap domain.

You need a panel for it (ispconfig,cpanel) you can upload files from there, and you can add your domain there too! (btw cpanel is better)
