Gamestop: DNA or FTID?

Recently ordered a Switch and 2 other smaller items from Gamestop. Total Order was less than $450. I plan on using the DNA method, but my only concern is that I live in a dormitory, and my building manager received (and possibly signed, unsure) for the package. 

At the moment, I plan on waiting around 2-3 days after arrival, and attempting to use the DNA method.

Is the DNA method still viable in my situation? Or should I look into using the FTID method, or something else altogether?

I know I'm a bit late, but how did the refund go? Can you tell us what method you used and if it worked?
