Succesfully refunded a package that got sent to me, but now the delivery guy came to my door. He asked me to tell fedex the package did indeed arrive.

So a while ago i bought an item worth about 1000$ from china, and after a couple of e-mails I told the store I bought it that the package didnt arrive. But now the fedex delivery guy rang at the door again and asked me to write fedex that the packages did indeed arrive at my house. I don't want to screw with his job, and also i dont want to repay the bought items. (They might fine me if they find out it was a refund scam?) What should I do?
