Its really suprising to me how another countries war can make this much impact to another country from only imports/tourism.
most people living in egypt (cairo) cant even buy meats anymore due to how much it costs, also the wheat imports doubled which is a HUGE effect because in a middle eastern household bread is very common and is basically eaten in every meal, not only that around every 6 or 8 months there would be 10% to 15% increase in common necessities.
Tourism, you wouldnt even think egypt gets this much russian/ukrainian tourists but it was estimated that they make about third of the countries tourists which rounded up costed them 20$ BILLION out of egypt.
fun fact about ukraine and russia is that they are one of the biggest grain exporters, so both of them getting into war caused a *global* rise on food prices.
