I once arranged to buy something from someone and they got all uppity about questions regarding what I was purchasing and starting shouting at me like a retard , and when I asked about the payment they said they didn't care which form of coin it was (odd ?) I thought thinking most coins don't really have much security and them not caring about which kind of security I use for the coin is kind discerning.

Like how do I know if the site or dealer is a fed or honeypot ?

Use a reputable vendor. Use Monero. Use PGP.  Alphabay has great vendors. I have used darknet markets since Silk Road hundreds of times and never had a problem.

alot of them seem too leave it up to you which coin you use , this was my point. if one has a big thing with *just use whatever* instead of strict Monero policy are they a fed ?

Link too Alphabay btw

What are you trying to buy? Information? Physical items?  Is it someone that has their own shop? The seller not caring about your payment method may or may not be a big deal depending on a variety of factors. You should only concern yourself with your own privacy. If you know how to purchase any particular coin without it being traced back to you, it wouldnt matter if they were a fed or not. But if the person is argumentative to a potential customer it sounds less like theyre a fed and more like theyre just an asshole who is either trying to scam you or doesnt know what theyre doing and probably shouldnt be trusted.

As for Alphabay, it is currently under attack on the tor network and can only be accessed using i2p if you do not already have an account, unfortunately.

I'm trying to buy guns and wetwork
