How do I start dropshipping, without owning the product? (dropshipping related)

Guess what? I've officially joined the dropshipping madness, and it's both thrilling and confusing at the same time! My site is live, got this awesome product (at least, I think so), and now it's time to market on TikTok. But, there's a little issue I'd like to get your advice and opinions on.

So, I'm itching to start a TikTok account, with a VPN toggled on USA, as I'd like to sell my products in the USA and not my own country, reason: I'll be able to achieve a lot more sales as the population is WAYYY larger. But here's the thing—I can't jump into TikTok's ad program without any videos. Problem is, I don't physically have the product yet.

Here's my plan: I want to "steal" content of other dropshippers on Tiktok (already found some great vids), mute the audio, insert a new sound which is viral within TikTok (USA), and edit the visuals to showcase 'what the product is capable of,', here's the thing, will this trigger copyright claims? and if so, how can I bypass this shiiii

Also, tell me about your dropshipping beginnings! How did you kick things off? Any golden nuggets for a new mf like me? And seriously, do you believe success is just one dope ad away? I'm hoping that a few of y'all take the time to actually help me with this journey by answering my questions and by giving some extra tips etc.

Depends on how TikTok dishes out claims but copyright is already poorly implemented on TikTok so I'd imagine taking a video from another creator and slightly modifying it wouldn't trigger anything as it is done quite often on the app. The only thing to do is try and see.

I don't currently but I know it's a competitive scene and would recommend looking into it more. It can be tough starting out but if you keep pushing it and figuring out new methods you'll have nothing to lose.

I think, it might be my product and it being too big of a hype ro sell it at this point, I'm going to try a product no one sells on tiktok yet, make that viral and hopefully get organic sales through that.

become a distributor or "dealer" for a company, a lot of companies look for people to help sell their product and do some marketing for them. Get good reviews and keep farming until you work for several companies and people know your name, that will then allow you to be able to start your own thing and branch out to more companies and products.
