How long do you spend to prep for each of your sessions, on average?

I think prep takes about 1.5x the amount of time of actually playing the session, but I focus really hard on story and character moments moreso than combat.

My sessions run about 2-2.5 hours each, so I probably spend around 3.5 hours or so prepping, probably more if I'm leaning heavily into homebrew.

I could improv more, but I've just found that when I have a few really fleshed out moments I can guide my players to, everything just flows way more smoothly.
