I spent a lot of time playing RuneScape between 2006 and 2013, and I saw a lot of parallels between the two games. Similar to our current exchanges, back then we had the Varrock marketplace, which is now the Grand Exchange. There was the Duel Arena where you could stake your money and essentially guess if you would win or lose. I prefer to compare cryptocurrency to player vs. player (PvP) games. You also had quests, which were akin to researching a certain cryptocurrency project. In addition, the game required leveling up in order to obtain talents like 99 Farming and earn money, similar to DeFi in the cryptocurrency space. Finally, there were con artists. While falling for a scam koows echat can make you want to give up, it was also a teaching moment. In the crypto world, as in RuneScape, never reply to unsolicited communications.
