Just Kids Dental Announced Data Breach Affecting 130K Patients And Employees

On Sep. 1 Acadia Health, which does business under the name Just Kids Dental, filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine after discovering that its computer system and network were attacked by a malicious actor. In this notice, JKD explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access patients’ sensitive information, which includes their names, Social Security numbers, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, driver’s license numbers, health insurance policy information, treatment information including radiographic images, medical record number, account number, and health conditions. Various media outlets have reported as many as 130,000 people may have been affected by the breach
