All hacks have one thing in common. The hacker needs to communicate with the person being hacked. Isolate your machine and then sniff the traffic using a known good machine and wireshark. If you see unexpected traffic figure out what it is doing. If you end up with something that should not be there you have your answer.

I think the feds will be all up in my wireshark or just be invisible from it. They are smart. They have sophisticated tools/weaponry. But I will get to the bottom of this somehow.
The feds are no smarter or better than anyone else and in most cases use the same tools everyone else does. In other cases use worse tools. Computer and energy are not magic so can be measured and understood. Use the tools you have and you will be able to detect anything they throw at you.
