"Looking for work"

So I look around at the Hiring section quite frequently and I see fuck tons of posts saying "Looking for work". And about 99% are about customer support. How much do people like this get paid and how often are they hired. This all just seems extremely unlikely since customer support is extremely easy.

Usually its the big ticket companies that need support. For example companies that get sales every day, you could use some ticket managers or customer support in every timezone so that if a customer has an account that is invalid or doesn't work, it can get replaced pretty quickly instead of waiting for the 1 owner that is currently asleep for the next 8 hours. Just makes the company run more smoothly. Again, only big ticket companies are even profitable all while still being able to hire people to help
