Microsoft exec hints at free ad-supported Xbox Cloud Gaming

Microsoft is presently providing complimentary access to Fortnite through its Xbox Cloud Gaming service (xCloud). However, there are indications suggesting that the company is contemplating the possibility of offering free game streaming in return for advertising. Tim Stuart, the Chief Financial Officer of Microsoft Gaming, hinted at this potential development during an interview at the Wells Fargo TMT Summit conducted last month, as reported by TweakTown. The prospect of free game streaming supported by advertisements could represent a strategic shift in Microsoft's approach to its gaming services, potentially opening up new avenues for users to access gaming content at no cost.
