Motherboard CPU 8+4 pin question

Is it right if I connect 3x4 pin to a 8+4 pin?
750w seasonic psu, I got 2 CPU cables too.

You should have a 4+4 cabel for your CPU
and atleast 2x 6+2 for your gpu

If the cables fit you can try it out, it won't harm the computer.
The smart thing to do would be get the correct cables and avoid this problem all together.
