if u have personal hate towards people here... u dont have right to -rep them... keep personal hate to yourself only
other than personal hate if next person has done something bad or harmful that can affect community , then with proof u can give -rep..
else dont bother to do -rep and nor ask your friends to -rep someone in mass number....
if you caught in doing so your total rep will be reset to 0.
this is punishable here..
I agree 100% however the rep system here, as @Ulysses said, is extremely abused. There is a group of people here that not only coordinate daily to up their own reps but also attack and spam negative reps for anyone they don't like.
Rep really makes no difference to me at all but it can be deceiving for new users of the forum because of the abuse. There are some less than savory characters here that have a great rep status that they did absolutely nothing to deserve.
