I got bored and made a bot that holds BTC payments for people during deals. It's completely automated and is secure and won't let either party cashout unless both sides say the deal is complete

To get people interested you should demonstrate its robustesses/legitimacy somehow? Maybe turn it into open source on some git for a start?

I think present it to admins so that it can be implemented here in the forum seems like a good idea

that would be cool, but I can see a lot of problems going wrong with it

like how will the bot know if the deal is legit or the buyer could just say he didn't get the product  when he did

etc

middlemans might  only be doable with real people

we’d have support for these type of matters, if the buyer were to just not confirm the deal was completed seller could contact support and provide proof. no funds would be returned or paid out. once funds are given to bot they’re locked until the deal is marked as confirmed. support can force confirm in matters like this

i can certainly do that, none of it is bad or malicious, it has several checks before allowing any type of payout and deals are only allowed to be cancelled if no funds were confirmed and the deal wasn’t marked as complete.

being open source isn’t an issue, i just don’t want copies of it appearing but i have no issue making it open source
