Pc cpu overheating after power outage

Hello guys. I was using my pc a few days ago and randomly got a power outage while using it. Ever since then my pc cpu temp skyrockets and my pc is extremely loud therefore decreasing my pcs performance drastically. Tried a lot of things and I’ve come to the conclusion that my pc cooler master system isn’t working to cool down my pc. Any way to fix that? Or do I just need to buy another one, cheers

Sounds like a surge fried something...was it hooked up to a surge protector or UPS?

To be honest, it could be a number of things that are fucked. Open your case to see if you have fans that aren't working or are making noise. If it's water cooled, check if the radiator fans are spinning and the water pump is working. You can try changing the power connections to anything that's not running to see if that fixes the issue, although chances are slim that it will.

I wouldn't use your PC for extended periods until you figure out what the problem is. High temperatures can do permanent irreparable damage.
