Oscar Sanchez Gil, head of the Madrid National Police's economic crime unit, has been arrested in Spain. He is accused of links to a drug cartel, drug trafficking and money laundering.
— During a search of his home in the Madrid suburbs, investigators found more than 20 million euros hidden behind a wall and another million euros in his office. According to investigators, the funds were obtained from illegal activities.
