[QUESTION] How to pull ip off discord call

Recently I got my ip pulled off some guy I was talking to on discord

I'm kinda interested in how thye were able to do it, i've tried wireshark but that shit doesn't work lol

I thought that discord keeps ip in their own database and it wasn't possible to find ip unless they hacked discord database, but maybe im just stupid

I jus wanna know for other reasons : ^ )

during my discord call he read out my ip and i tried to pull it off confidently that was my vpn ip, which i didn't have on during the time

That technique doesn't work, and if it does then whoever it worked on is an absolute retard. Anyone can guess if an IP is a VPN or not by just looking at the ISP.

Either way, there's no way to get an IP address through a Discord call, as they don't utilize P2P networking, it's all done via a server acting as a middleman between all users in that call, so he must have gotten your IP by checking WLI for your username. If your IP address isn't dynamic or hasn't updated in a long time, that's probably how he got it.
