Recently my sisters BF passed while driving

Hey, so IDK what I should be doing right now or how I should react to something like this. Ive been missing days off school and my mental health has definetly taken a hit from his passing. His name was Matthew we all called him "Matt" though, I only knew him for about 10 months because it was around 10months ago that he moved into our house he became like an elder brother to me. Now I dont really know what to post on these forums but if anyone has gone through anything similar and has some tips on how I should try to get over this the right way, I'd really appreciate the responses or maybe just a like to say you bothered to read this thanks <3

Not to be a harsh idiot, but like I've had passings close to me, and I don't think any one of them would want me to just skip life and go ham?

Death is frightening, and it's not equal or fair, but if you fail to live life because of it, then don't blame it on someone's death, that's just mean, when I die I don't hope people around me uses my death as an excuse to trip, I'd be a mad ghost lol.

I suggest not to feel so sorrow about that.
At lease you all got the good memories with him.
Everyone have to follow the same way.

It's hard losing anyone.

You shouldn't rush to feel better .. give yourself time to mourn. Most people will try and ignore the pain and then surround themselves with drugs/alcohol to ignore the pain. While sometimes it may help - its only temporary. Learn to slowly move on and maybe talk with your sister about it so you to can grow together past this, rather than by yourselves.

Thanks so much, since I posted this thread things at home have actually started to improve dramatically we got a little puppy and as soon as she saw him I got to see her first smile in over 5 days of which she was constantly crying I appreciate the advice
