I have seen people refund everything, however, I have not seen people try it on airplane tickets. Are there any services that do this or is it a fairytale?

I think such services exist, but I have not met people who reimburse plane tickets, and I don't know of any such service—neither for train tickets. I don't know where you are buying plane or train tickets, but because I only travel by train, I buy tickets from https://www.dbfahrplan.com/de/, and they warn me that the tickets are non-refundable and to ensure that there are no mistakes. So I don't think it's possible to refund train tickets. And I don't think it would ever be possible. You have to take some responsibility for these tickets.

In general, there is such a practice of refunding money for a ticket. A few years ago, I planned to visit voy mrs america but with the onset of the pandemic, the trip was canceled. I was told to come to the ticket office with my passport to exchange money for a ticket. When I arrived, the cashier said they were closing and to try to exchange online. But after a few months, I found out that the ticket offices were working again and I exchanged the ticket there without any problems

I believe that everything depends on the airline. You can give it a try, but I couldn't return my ticket to Amsterdam.

If you're wondering, "Can I get a refund if I cancel my flight?" the answer depends on the airline's policies and the type of ticket you purchased. Refundable tickets usually allow for a full refund if you cancel before your flight. You can read complete information clicking on the link.
