Haven't personally tested this out but have a few friends that do this and is pulling a few thousands every month.
Snapchat released something called Spotlight which is there attempt at competing with TikTok. They used to give out a ton of money but it has become a lot lower however there is still potential to make a fortune on this.
All you have to do is get a single video viral and that is fairly easy if you post a few videos every day.
I have found when reuploading content there automatic detection system check for resolution and volume so what i do is go to
https://app.clipchamp.com/ and upload the video there. Then all you need to do is lower the audio of the video by 10% and export as 1080p.
This will make it so that the audio will not match any video and you can use any video that exists on the entire. within copyright laws of course ?
You should also put your profile as a public profile since i'm unsure if you can get funds otherwise.

You will get a message directly from snapchat saying that your video earned x amount of money and instruction on how to cash out

Can your snapchat account get banned?
The chance is very low. My friends have used there personal snapchat accounts and done this for over a year. Only way for you to get banned is if you use copyrighted content and the owner send in a complaint
