I went into their server to get elements made for my website that my backend coder is already working on, I opened my ticket clearly in the Web development Section. For context, I have zero knowledge about web development or graphical design related to websites .In my initial message, I clearly stated that I don't need a full website development; I only need graphic elements that I can implement into my website.
The confusion began when their representative asked if I needed the elements only designed and not developed, to which I replied "exactly," meaning I didn't need full website development as I had stated at the start. Throughout the order process, I was speaking with a web developer, not a graphic designer. This gave me the impression that my project would involve both a designer and a developer.
The Web Developer mentioned using "Figma" and implied that my backend coder should be familiar with it. This further led me to believe that they would deliver something my coder could use to implement into our website. The main reasons for this misunderstanding are due to their handling of the service.
I had to involve my backend coder in the ticket because I couldn't articulate where they erred in accepting the order. Instead of acknowledging their mistakes, they labeled my backend coder as "disgusting" for merely pointing out the flaws that led to this misunderstanding. They became instantly defensive, refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing, and tried to shift the blame by claiming that people often mistake their web development and graphic design tickets. However, this does not address the fact that they changed my ticket to a graphic design ticket without my knowledge or clearly informing me. They persistently accuse me of misunderstanding their service, despite navigating it correctly.
In summary, they are charging me $250 for simple designs that can be completed quickly because they are essentially copying and pasting elements from another website and recoloring them based on my given example list. There is nothing in their graphic design prices section that justifies this cost, but they will likely try to justify the price in any way they can now. They haven't designed anything original; instead, they are merely copying elements from a website I provided for inspiration and changing the colors to match my requirements. I would categorize the work as a thread design, and they didn't create anything from scratch for my website yet since 90% of it is just plain copy-paste. This is absolutely not worth the $125 deposit they are currently refusing to refund me. I have no problem paying for what is already done, but they are quoting unrealistic prices when I ask for a cost breakdown.

- I was communicating with a web developer about my design.
- They added a graphic designer to the ticket, but this person didn't speak to me directly, so I remained unaware that I was being replaced in the wrong section and that something I didn't need was being created. (Also they added the Graphic designer right after my first message , making me still think that Web developer + Graphic Designer will work on this together because like i said the Web developer is still doing the talking right now and asking about Design details etc)
- I acdepted their expertise for the price and requirements because I don't know what needs to be coded for graphic elements or what is necessary to implement them into a website.
