from my pov and personal experience to me and both people in different forums and on here is that this issue is like this for a long time and alot of reports were to you, a site which uses hoodpay.

you say "
However, I don't see why you keep pushing the narrative that it isn't possible to recover lost funds via an extended public key,"

why dont you see the problem with them magically having people's crypto adresses changed to a new ones and payments being sent to random people?

tbh there is really nothing else to say this problem is going on like this for months and from my understanding from even talking to staff in sb and the likes of it they are aware of it aswell..

i use your site because its convenient to me atm and i cant find a better solutioun but i am thinking to switch because this hoodpay mess and my new wallet which is not receiving new money + its on mobile which most are due to rats on pc etc.

i cannot get my xpub key or whatever youre looking for but i do see this problem with xpub key, on sellpass it accepts orders , send products to customers , owner dontget money + money gets sent to no one knows where.

also instead of all of this why noit add hoodpay as an option to a better one when they input their crypto adresses manually into your site?
why use a third party that made all of this mess before.
and if u do choose to keep it atleast add an option for people to use it freely. not paid

just as ive stated before
either pay to use own address
or use a third party that might steal your money.

both ways youre losing some money here with or without having big audiance in your store aka traffic.

I understand where you're coming from, and while these issues may seem trivial at first, nothing goes unnoticed.

As you're aware, we've been heads down building version three for the better part of the past year and are prepping for its eventual release, where we'll be prioritizing in-house crypto processing infrastructure (the entire point of that acquisition. Their team has a far better understanding of this and will help us launch a more refined product) versus our customers facing the same challenges over and over again.

You also have to understand that crypto addresses will and do change for every new transaction (this is the same across every payment platform such as Coinbase Commerce, CoinPayments, etc), it isn't just secluded to Hoodpay.

To recap, funds that are potentially lost via extended public keys can be recovered and shouldn't be the main point being contested here, mostly due to the freely available documentation I've listed above. If you've lost funds as a direct result of an error on Hoodpay's end after our acquisition, please message me on this forum and I'll see what I can do to clear things up.
you kinda lost me in the middle here.

when i say adresses changed, i talk about their normal adresses, no xpub key used at alllllllllllllll
hoodpay has 2 options of crypto
set normal key OR set xpub key
people who use normal adress for example on my hoodpay there is no xpub there is "bc1q8d5n22mw695jcej2q3alwh0j7yjev2sfv3ugq9"

this adresses changed for other people and when they noticed it , it was when they checked their wallet with new confirmed orderes and saw they didnt receive any money
open hoodpay then saw their normal crypto adress was changed to a random one without their approval and them losing pottential money + products.

Then that may mean you owe fees to Hoodpay, you can tap on the invoice id and review the payment transaction page for more information. Do you have any unpaid balances/invoices here: https://dash.hoodpay.io/settings/billing? That would be your best best.
WHEN YOU SWITCH TO SELLPASS, WE'LL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE.

If you're currently selling digital products on another platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, Sellix, Custom, etc), you'll receive a welcome bonus upon registering and transferring your store over. The bonus is based on your processing volume, customer base, and the specific category/industry you target.
Feel free to reach out to me directly on this forum to get started.  [Image: hype.png]

no answer no nothing so when thye asked on sellpass for help they only directed to hoodpay support which was an ongoing loop.

all im trying to get by doing this , is an option to use crypto payment without all this third party and xpub stuff normal address normal crypto normal site

Interesting. What you're saying is that you deliberately made this post with the sole intent of attacking our brand and reputation based on communications of other individuals that you were unable to confirm? I always attempt to understand both sides of situations that unfold regarding Sellpass, but this has me quite puzzled. Based on your response above, this isn't a scam report, this is an "I don't like how things work, change it now or else" report.

I'm always receptive to pushing rapid changes if it helps propel our customers forward, but crafting up a storm isn't the right way to bring things to my attention, eariel. Among others, that's precisely why we acquired their technology and assets, to launch in-house processing infrastructure for our customers across all plans with as minimal fees as possible.

As previously noted, you're more than welcome to get in touch with me via this forum and I'll clear up anything if the platform is at fault.

the point of this thread is to get your help in this matter.
the one that is "hoodpay" stealing people money by changing their adresses.
not being active on support.
your support not helping and only telling to use hoodpay live chat / discord which is inactive.

on my end yes i do want to change my crypto adress but im not able to so ive made this thread for all of the reasons ive stated in all of this msgs
stolen money by your third party.
+ not being able to change / create (tests on new account) crypto adresses on hoodpay method of payment
by those reasons i think this deal dispute has the right to open the eyes for more people when they made countless of statements with 0 help

Eariel, you can't expect to use the Sellpass platform free of charge and get irritated when we charge for certain things behind a paid plan. That is extremely foolish.

You're more than welcome to not use any of our linked services or platforms, or you can cough up the funds and purchase one of our premium subscriptions to unlock a different processor. We're not going to change the rule for thousands of other customers for your sole pleasure, it wouldn't be fair to those who purchased the plan to unlock an additional processor.

The thing with you is you keep circling back around "stolen money", but I've clearly:

  • Provided you with documented steps to recover any lost funds via their extended public key method.
  • Responded to you multiple times about their team deprecating the "direct to address" due to the previously mentioned risks associated with that method, which is why you're not able to create new accounts with this method.

While I don't have the full picture painted in my head, I'll try to piece things together based on your responses:
  • You switched from a desktop software wallet to a mobile wallet due to your fears of being "ratted", something that has nothing to do with Hoodpay or Sellpass.
  • By switching wallets, you generated a new crypto address to receive payments, but since Hooday does not support "direct to address" any longer, you can't change your previous address, right?

If that's the case, then let me continue:
  • You believe that since you can't change your address, and Hoodpay is available on the free plan via Sellpass, Hoodpay is stealing your funds?
  • You believe that since other customers have voiced discontent, but ultimately recovered their funds since it still was tied to their keys, Hoodpay is stealing your funds?
  • You believe that since Hoodpay doesn't offer a quality level of support to non-enterprise customers, Hoodpay is stealing your funds?

This entire thread was a run-on to garner attention to a nonexistent and overblown issue. I'm ALWAYS open to having a chat, and this speaks volumes across my responses to customers through every communication channel possible (including this forum). You're more than welcome to contact me at any point to clear things up.

I recommend getting your extended public key through a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor (costs are around $80 - $250) and not downloading executables or anything that may pose a risk to your computer.

The bonus is based on your processing volume, customer base, and the specific category/industry you target.

as stated before.
youre using a third party that accept money for the product without a direct contact with the customer.
meaning hoodpay alone has full access to the money being transfered in all of this transactions.
im not trying to blame anything on sellpass.
im only saying that this issue is been like this for alot of time and alot of complaines

ive said it over and over but ill say it again:
im not asking u to make stuff free and change stuff for alot of people but as you said before you do get where im coming from.

its either pay or gamble your money with a third party site that maybe or maybe not steal your money

if you bought hoodpay u can clearly see by only joining their discord they havent answer any ticket in the past months.
all of the tickets are about help with lost funds of payments to them which didnt receive and adresses being switched.

all im saying that if you want to keep your site running dont u think its better to cut the "maybe or maybe not" scam middle man that handles the money here?

for the sole purpose of stopping all of this lashes on your business , aswell as theirs. i get why you bought hoodpay. to make it better i guess because its what most people use aka free plan on sellpass

but you do need to understand that you cant keep this going right?

keep changing adresses to others (not talking xpub)
not letting add new adresses.
0 support in the last months on any server / site
your support directing them to a dead end which creates a loophole

i do wish you luck with all this hoodpay transition and stuff but at the end of the day your staff keeps directing people to this dead end of no help.

I recommend getting your extended public key through a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor (costs are around $80 - $250) and not downloading executables or anything that may pose a risk to your computer.

as stated before.
youre using a third party that accept money for the product without a direct contact with the customer.
meaning hoodpay alone has full access to the money being transfered in all of this transactions.
im not trying to blame anything on sellpass.
im only saying that this issue is been like this for alot of time and alot of complaines

ive said it over and over but ill say it again:
im not asking u to make stuff free and change stuff for alot of people but as you said before you do get where im coming from.

its either pay or gamble your money with a third party site that maybe or maybe not steal your money

if you bought hoodpay u can clearly see by only joining their discord they havent answer any ticket in the past months.
all of the tickets are about help with lost funds of payments to them which didnt receive and adresses being switched.

all im saying that if you want to keep your site running dont u think its better to cut the "maybe or maybe not" scam middle man that handles the money here?

for the sole purpose of stopping all of this lashes on your business , aswell as theirs. i get why you bought hoodpay. to make it better i guess because its what most people use aka free plan on sellpass

but you do need to understand that you cant keep this going right?

keep changing adresses to others (not talking xpub)
not letting add new adresses.
0 support in the last months on any server / site
your support directing them to a dead end which creates a loophole

i do wish you luck with all this hoodpay transition and stuff but at the end of the day your staff keeps directing people to this dead end of no help.

It seems like we're about to head into an endless spiral, so I want you to re-read the posts I've taken time out of my night to clear up for you. I only say that because it will address the issues you've brought up with this response.

ive said what i had to say,
im hoping you will take this into consideration due to the fact hoodpay is acting like this to your customers as your third party.

we can end this here

solved. ig
