I've seen across the internet and the latest tech news. What I really found out was that recently some of the hacking forums are getting hacked and their databases are being breached. This could result in a lot of privacy and security issues. So if on this website by default, all the users should enable 2FA or give a spare mail to the website with our account to which could be used to recover and prevent loss of database if there are breaches. This could look too much of protection and could even look lame but some protection is better than nothing. It could use 2FA to sign in to different devices other than the usual one used to visit the site.

Already require 2FA when logging in from a different location

But what if the user hasn't really activated it from their basic usage on the site. It is not made as a must to require 2FA while username and password would be enough. The protection should become far more complicated to prevent database breaches in the long term
