Sentry MBA First Timers Tutorial

disclaimer: this thread was made by me in 2015 and only sent privately to friends wanting to get into cracking. I've since updated it for cracked.to and thought i'd post it publicly.

So to start cracking with sentry mba you're going to need some configs. A config is just a bunch of settings for the program that help us crack a specific site. You're going to need a different config for every site. I recommend going here https://cracked.to/Forum-Configs--82 or googling for your desired config. If for example I wanted to find a dominos config I would google "dominos sentry config". Simple, right? :)

Configs come as either an .ini file or a .txt file

To use these configs we go into sentry mba and click "Load Settings from snapshot" 
 
From there you want to make sure you're selecting all types of file and not just .ini else you won't be able to find your txt configs.
 
Once you've loaded your config it's time to load up a combolist.
 
There are many ways to get combo lists, sqli being the best IMO but if you can't find anything good just use combos posted on here. If you're cracking a website not many people would crack you'll still get a tonne of hits.
 
So to load up the combolist we click on the lists tab, then wordlists, then the open button 

Now we're going to need proxies, some people will tell you to scrape proxies or buy private ones but since these sites aren't very hard to crack you won't need decent ones. So all you need to do is head over to http://sslproxies24.blogspot.co.uk/ and copy/paste today's latest proxies into a text file.

If you're lucky some nice members might even post proxies on the forum but be sure it's a recent topic else there's a high chance the proxies are dead and useless.
 
Loading up the proxies is the same as loading up the combolist, you click proxylist from the list section and then press the open button.
 
With proxies you'll want to replace them at least every 2 days or you'll lose a tonne of speed from all the dead ones.
 
So now you have everything set it's time to press start!
 
If everything goes well you should have something looking like this 
 
All we really care about is the tested and the hits, if you're getting tested then it means it's working, and if you get a hit then you're really happy.
 
If you're getting a lot tested but then it suddenly stops it might be because the config is not using your proxies. To fix this go to the settings tab, proxy settings, and untick "do not use proxies" 
 
When doing this fix you'll also need to untick "use snapshot settings" after you press start. 
This is so sentry knows to use your updated settings and not revert to the config's default.

Thank you, this was very helpful. but one question i have is whenever i try to press start is says "invalid wordlist file."
