Hello all, looking at drop shipping and have studied it a bit and have a question, are you able to take a Shopify store and build a real and long-lasting brand out of it? My understanding is that most products become over saturated in 2 or so months. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences?

You are definitely able to build a long-lasting company based on a product. If you have conducted the research as you stated, then you know that simply creating a website and having a product that sells marginally well won't suffice. You cannot expect it to sit and grow on its own. Remember, innovation is crucial, and competitors are always present.

I do see these questions from time to time but its out of fear or a sense or feeling like they are wasting their time. By posting this and not working on what you should be, you are indeed wasting time. Please don't perceive this as hate; it's simply constructive criticism.

Dropshipping as a business on itself is a waste of time yes. It's not meant for the long-term.

However, dropshipping is really useful if you use it to find a winning product though. If you find that product, then spend money on a supply and put your own logo on it.
