Site to efficiently learn a programming language?

Not sure if this post falls into the Entertainment Category, my bad if it doesn't. 

~~~ I'm looking for a site that behaves like CodeAcademy, where they teach you the language dynamically and not just shove your throats with documentation and some sample examples, problem with CodeAcademy is that they're not free and most of their courses are a bit outdated or error-ish you can say.
