How it works:
Once a scammer has done some talking to you, you will be asked to send a private message through your cracked.io profile. They often use the excuse of a deal, or trying to ''confirm it's really you'' once you send a message to them you are confirming your identity. The problem is that you don't know who is on the other end receiving your message confirmation. The scam requires you to confirm your identity and a third person to receive your confirmation. The scammer is using your confirmation to impersonate you, the scammer is talking to the other person acting like as you. The scammer will then tell the other person he will confirm through a private message and that's where your private message comes into play.
How to avoid it:
Ask for a picture of the chat you're having on discord, to be sent through cracked. If they can't send a picture of the discord chat, DO NOT DEAL. NEVER send confirmation numbers or codes through cracked private messages. Always state your discord name + number (copy pasted) and the other persons discord name + number (copy pasted) and ask them to confirm, through cracked pm, that you're talking to them. Always ask for a Middleman and make sure to confirm the identity of the Middleman through cracked PM.
Impersonation scam:
That impersonation scam is when somebody, acting like you, contacts a seller or customer, sometimes changes his name to yours to make it look like he is you, and scams the customer or seller using your name.
Impersonators can use special characters on discord make sure you check with Unicode detector: https://freetools.textmagic.com/unicode-detector, will look like normal characters from the common alphabet, but on the unicode checker it will have a RED or YELLOW square meaning the character is not the common alphabet letter.
Extra information:
Recently I have been noticing a lot more scams are being take place within the scam report areas due to the person getting impersonated scam or triangle scammed. Therefore, the person who is making the scam report should add their address or email to refund. As the person who should be refunding/paying should only be paying address that is posted on the scam report (when a scam report has to be refunded).
Always send your own crypto addresses or emails for payment through Cracked.io PM system, if the other person tells you to send a specific message or verification code, CANCEL THE TRANSACTION.
