Special Username Items - Reputation Regulation and Abuse Prevention


Should there be penalties for members possessing special username items such as Diamond, Crown, and/or Verified?
These special username items increase the maximum positive and negative reputation points a member can apply to another member.

This ballot is to determine if we should enforce a penalty system for these special username items in the occurrence the
holder of these special username items are to abuse the perks afforded to them by these special username items.

We ask community members to respond to this ballot with the most suitable choice.

Yes? But reputation is fucked regardless of these items, people openly exchange it in the shoutbox daily.

I've seen people spreading malware sign up to buy Premium and give rep to users they know will rep back, so the issue isn't just limited to username items holders.

I 100% agree with @Mastiff , a person with crown should not represent a bigger problem to this forum than retards spamming rep4rep daily on SB. There are bigger problems on this forum and the focus is always on the small ones.

The same rules and penalties should be applied to everyone.  You don't need to have paid for a rep +/- username item to abuse the system.  This sounds like you're putting a target on the back of anyone who has purchased additional rep capabilities and ignoring everyone else.

@Ping The problem isn't in the username items, the problem is in the people, the community is toxic, no matter how many times you guys try to fix the rep power, people will still be a problem, in my eyes, this problem will never get resolved no matter what you guys do, in my opinion you guys should leave the rep system as how it is now since the problem is not in the rep but in the people.


There's one thing you guys should start taking a bit more seriously is removing false reps when people open thread in support and ask for it, the We Don't Remove Reps is basic bs.
