Hey,

I know changing your region to another one specifically to abuse the cheaper prices in other countries breaks steams TOS but is that something they actually handle?

I know some companies have some things that break rules and you CAN get banned for it but you never usually do. Is there a genuine risk that i would be taking if i changed my account to turkey to get around the cheaper prices? I know its against tos but i dont care, i just want to know if i will actually get banned for it or if its just hollow threats.

No, you will never get banned with Steam. I had a service running for years and my personal account worth thousands is constantly changing from Turkey to Argentina. You are safe. Just make sure you load money via gift cards and never use VPN when purchasing the actual game. In fact, never use a VPN at all (besides the first time you change your region).

Do i HAVE to use a gift card to top up?
I can use revolut to top up the account with turkish lira which would make it even cheaper for me to buy games.

also what sort of service did you do? I would be actively buying games that i want which are dumb cheap. I dont want it to flag up on their system that im from the UK just buying games every day lmao

Don't use revolut it won't work + it will turn your account back to your currency, avoid using a CC at all, your best way is to load up via Gift Cards in LIRA currency or even better, purchase team fortress 2 keys from marketplaces (personally I buy them from marketplace.tf) and then sell them on steam to get balance.

Also I can confirm that Steam doesn't really care at all, I been having 2 Argentinian accounts totaling more than 200 games purchased, had them for years now and nothing ever happened, never used a VPN and always loaded via gift cards or tf2 keys.

No you won't be able to use revolut to top up the account with Turkish lira. Steam won't let you. You either need to buy Turkish steam gift cards or a Turkish VCC. However I prefer gift cards as there are many sites that sell them without any additional fees. You can also buy Cs:go, dota 2, TF2 items from third party websites for real money (people sell items at 40-80% of steam market price) and sell them on the steam market. This will actually give you more wallet than you actually put in and is not restricted to your steam region at all.

Actually i made a seperate steam just to test to see how it works and i can top up with revolut. It worked for me twice at least.  The first two payments went fine but today i was having purchasing issues but i assumed that was seperate as i had already made 2 purchases with revolut.
What third party sites would you recommend for me to buy from?
