Yellow light, has been proven effective in protecting the retinas of patients exposed to excessive blue light, since it offers the best contrast

Yellow gets my vote because the human eye is better suited for seeing it and the minute variations of hue that go from lime to gold. The peak sensitivity of the eye is at or around 500 nm which is blueish green. Yellow is around 590 nm whereas red is all the way at ~700 nm near the edge of what normal vision is capable of detecting.

From an evolutionary standpoint, our eyes peak at 500 nm so that we can easily detect variations around green (forests) where our most likely predators lurked. Especially for primates, this peak sensitivity is survival oriented.

Yellow has a much higher representation in the human predator population than red (a color only used to warn). This is less useful in modern times where, I suspect, more red than yellow cars kill people (for a multitude of reasons).

Because people have moved to the concrete jungle by and large, I predict that human vision will undergo a socially driven genetic adaptation to higher frequencies of light. In other words, it might be yellow now,
