Supreme US healthcare non-profit reports data breach impacting 200,000 patients, employees

Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services (RMCHCS), a non-profit healthcare provider operating in Arizona and New Mexico, has reported a data breach impacting around 200,000 patients and employees.

In a data breach notice published on May 19, RMCHCS said its “investigation has found that an unauthorized party was able to access certain systems that contained patient information and remove some data between January 21 and February 5, 2021”.

I'm thinking about the question: how could such information be leaked at all? I mean that protection should be at the highest level and employees should always be on the alert. It is very unpleasant that this happens in the United States of America. I currently live in the UK and haven't yet observed such problems. In the present time, I need to purchase health insurance, which I hope this company of insurers will help me with, and there will be no such leaks as in the USA.

This is a pretty brutal article. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know it was that serious. I don't understand how this is even possible? They should hire better engineers to protect their data. I'm also worried about the article where it says Philips issue the CPAP recall, which surprised many people. A lot of people are still wondering about this. Philips CPAP claims that the recalled sleep apnea machines, which are supposed to help improve the quality of your breathing while you sleep, can potentially cause lung injuries, which scares many people.
