Lately, I’ve noticed a rise in scammers, especially in the ebook section, along with some questionable VC reviews. So, I thought it might be worth suggesting something I saw in a thread a while ago (shoutout to the original poster, though I can’t remember your username).
The idea is to create a volunteer review team that checks out newly published products—whether they’re ebooks, services, mentorships, etc. This team would be made up of trusted members who specialize in evaluating these products. Once they’ve agreed that a product is legitimate and meets quality standards, it would then be approved and posted in the appropriate section.
To join the review team, people would need to have a solid reputation, be trustworthy, and be active participants in the community. They have to be willing to collaborate into establishing a safe environment for everyone who trades in this forum. Hence, they’d need to provide proof that the product works, along with a fair and unbiased personal review.
Of course, there might be situations where a product doesn’t work at the moment of review, or a seller can’t provide a VC due to high demand. In those cases, exceptions could be made, and the team would evaluate whatever proof the seller can provide.
I’m sure there are some gaps in this idea, so feel free to offer suggestions or improvements!
